Tips for healthy nails

So you need to apply moisturizers to them to keep them from drying. So, it is important to keep your nails healthy and in good shape. For instance, the following rules are very basic, yet powerful:

Although modern cosmetics are intended to be harmless, there are still nail polishes, hardeners and cleaners that contain substances, which damage the nail surface. Maintaining nails healthy and good looking is not so difficult. Your nails are a small part of your body but they have an important role in protecting your fingers and since they are the end of your hand, your nails get frequent exposure in front of people. It is ridiculous to see the perfect nail polish on a dirty hand or on a shapeless nail that has not been cut (only occasionally bitten) for ages.

Wearing gloves usually helps in preventing contact with nail unfriendly detergents. Applying a moisturizer or a nail oil every night before going to bed is a nice habit to pick up. This might sound more than obvious but if you look at the hands of the guys and girls around you, you might start wondering if this basic hygiene habit is that obvious to everybody. Lack of vitamins and minerals in the body is visible on the nails. Sometimes strange looking nails are a symptom of various diseases but most often the poor look of your nails is due to bad nutrition. This is a very unpleasant condition, which happens most often to the toenails and is generally due to tight shoes. The lack of Vitamin D especially leads to brittle nails, so before you resort to nail strengtheners, just try to balance your diet first. Nails, like skin, can get dry and you need to moisturize them. Everyday chemistry is not always harmless and many chemicals for use in the household can damage your nails and skin. You can go to a saloon to have your manicure or pedicure done but there are many things you can and need do on your own. Usually it is not the polish but rather the cleaner (especially those that contain acetone) that is the mortal enemy for nails.

Massage your nails with rose hip oil to strengthen your nails and to stimulate their growth. Nails get dry not only because of excessive use of nail polish and above all nail polish cleaners but also because of the climate (especially if you live in a cold country) and frequent washing. Even good manicurists or pedicurists can't always help, if you are doing your best to damage your nails, so the wisest you can do is to take care of your nails. And achieving this is neither difficult, nor expensive. Gloves are also mandatory when you are dealing with dyers or simply dirt of any kind. When your nails get damaged by a nail polish or a cleaner, if you stop using it for a while, this might be all treatment that your nails need. Instead, when your fingers and nails are wet, gently put the cuticles back to make them less visible and that is all you can do to fight them.

Besides that it is not good-looking, ingrown nails are painful and often can lead to infections, so you have to reason to tolerate them Do not expose your hands, fingers and nails to chemical substances like detergents. Oils also help in moisturizing your nails, so you may want to get a product that combines both. If you notice stains on your nails, or they become dry and brittle, one possible reason is your nail cosmetics.

While it is true that sometimes hereditary factors play part for having good or bad nails and even if you try, you can't change the shape and the size or your nail beds, there are many other simple procedures, which can deliver great results. If your nails are inclined to grow on the wrong side, this means that you will have to cut them very often, thus not giving them the chance to get to your skin and grow there. The cuticles are part of the nail and when you cut their visible part, you only make them harder and puffy.

Manicure will be very good for nails, removing dirty and sharping the nails may look elegant.  It makes blood circulation free to your fingers too. Use rose petals water for cleaning your nails.

Tips for Pregnant women

When a woman is pregnant, she has to be doubly safe and cautious, not only for her own health but also for the health of her unborn baby. During pregnancy, so many changes take place inside a woman's body that they can alter her entire system. Certain foods and things which were well suitable to the woman before pregnancy, might cause numerous side effects in her when she is pregnant. This makes it very important for the woman to take certain precautions. Let's find out.

Special Precautions during the Early Stages of Pregnancy

Fish and other Seafood

Since seafood including fish, might contain high levels of mercury, it is one of the foods to be avoided during pregnancy. Shark, tilefish and swordfish are some varieties of fish that should be especially avoided.

Alcohol

Intake of excessive alcohol during pregnancy, might lead to a health condition known as Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). In this, the babies might develop learning disabilities or unusual facial features or it might even delay growth in them. So avoiding alcohol is another precaution to be taken during pregnancy.

Caffeine

There are a number of side effects that caffeine can produce in a person, such as nervousness, anxiety, irritability, altered heartbeat and insomnia. If a pregnant woman takes caffeine in large quantities, the same symptoms can appear in her, which can be detrimental to the health of the baby. Thus, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and chocolate are some of the foods to avoid during pregnancy, as they all contain caffeine.

Food Handling

Eating uncooked food or food which is not cooked properly, can cause parasites and other infections in a pregnant woman, which can be harmful both for the mother as well as the baby. So one should always eat food which is cooked properly. Milk should be pasteurized too.

Cigarettes

Researches have shown that babies of women who smoke, usually weigh less than normal. This makes them more prone to infections, diseases, breathing problems, etc. Active as well as passive smoking has to be avoided during pregnancy.

Medication

One of the precautions which a woman should take during the first trimester of pregnancy, is to avoid any kind of medicine or drug. Even avoiding X-rays, till the pregnancy ends, is recommended. The reason behind this is that the important organs of the baby, such as the brain, heart, etc. are still in the developmental and growth stage during the first three months. And if any of the medicines or drugs cause some side effects, the growth of these important organs can get hampered.

Herbs

Just as medicines can be detrimental to a baby's health, certain herbs, if taken without the consultation of a trained herbalist, can produce complications such as fetus injuries, premature birth, painful contractions and miscarriages. Some herbs such as passion flower, black cohosh, pay D' arco, saw palmetto and pennyroyal, have been recommended to be avoided during pregnancy.

High Impact Exercises

Highly strenuous exercises should be avoided during the early stages of pregnancy and even after that. One should not indulge in weightlifting, scuba diving, horse riding, leaping, skiing and any kind of contact sports.

Many a time, pregnant women are also confused, whether or not to indulge in sex during pregnancy. Ideally, intercourse should be avoided in the first trimester and near the end of the pregnancy. Consulting a gynecologist regarding this as well as all the other dos and don'ts, will give you a much clearer picture.

Beauty tips for Face

Instead, the overall health and tone of the face will likely change gradually and only if consumers conscientiously continue on with the exercises and topical products The University of Maryland outlines that natural vitamin A actually repairs skin; it stands to reason that warding off the earliest signs of aging with retinol has a better rate of success than attempting to erase more pronounced signs of skin irregularities. A Natural Face Lift via Targeted Muscle Exercises

Neglect the muscles of the arms and legs, and they likely get flabby. Even Out the Skin Tone with Retinol

Age spots, fine lines and sun damage are the tattletales that reveal age. This substance is a natural vitamin A derivative that gradually evens out the skin tone. Natural face lift tips and tricks provide tools for a non-surgical face lift; there is no guarantee that any of these suggestions result in drastic changes. The traditional face lift removes excess skin via the scalpel; it tightens facial skin, which serves to eradicate lines. There are copious recipes for all seasons and skin types - a look at Ultimate Cosmetics offers a host of recipes that require little more than a blender and some pantry ingredients - but the best face lift is achieved by a mix of apricot puree and warm olive oil. For those using non-surgical face lift peels and associated products, this is even more important since these products may lead to more sensitive skin that also burns quicker. Natural face lift tips deal with these skin irregularities via topical creams containing retinol. Remember also that the sunglasses greatly reduce the temptation to squint, which of course is a good thing for anyone noticing the crows' feet around the eyes getting just a bit too pronounced. Shape Your Face explains that there are several muscle groups that require daily exercising for a toning effect. Are you ready to look younger? Skin Care Guide to Facial Masks

In addition to toning facial muscles, it is possible to attain a non-surgical face lift simply by applying a homemade facial mask. Wash off the paste after about 10 minutes. The same holds true for the facial muscles. Mix it well to create a paste and apply it with a wide, flat brush. Over time, the toning of the muscles helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines. The Mayo Clinic explains that sun protection is not all that difficult and using sunscreen, a broad-brimmed hat and also sunglasses can ward off the adverse effects of sun exposure. For those unwilling to go under the knife, non-surgical face lift tips involve skin care suggestions and natural products. Remember to cover not only the face but also the neck area! The trick to successfully integrating this substance into a non-surgical face lift program is to begin early on, preferably at the first signs of skin damage. Repeat this process nightly or at least several times a week, and the skin will become more supple and healthy-looking. The experts recommended partially closing each eye (like a winking motion) 50 times a day. Good examples are the orbicularis oculi muscles that surround the eyes. Prevent Sun Damage

A good portion of this skin care guide deals with counteracting damage that is most likely - in part -- due to sun exposure in younger years.
